Daredevil teen climbed speakers stand on main stage

A daredevil teen climbed up the ten-metre stand which houses the main stage speakers last night in a bid to get the best view of Eminem’s groundbreaking set.

The 16-year-old boy was seen dangling his legs erratically whilst on his phone, Snapchatting, and calling friends at midnight last night.

He was spotted at the close of the set by one eye witness who described her ‘terror’ at witnessing what she believed could have been ‘a horrendous way to die.’

Security quickly swarmed the area and told a gathering crowd to leave the area before an ambulance and fire engine arrived at 12.05.

In a bid to entertain the crowds, the teen climbed up and down the structure, even performing stunts and pull-ups to the delight of his audience.

Whilst some of the crowd were clearly concerned for the boy’s safety, others were heard laughing and joking about his behaviour.

One eyewitness said: “It was terrifying. I noticed everyone looking at something as I left Eminem’s set and saw the boy right at the top of the speaker stand. It must have been 10 metres in the air. He could have so easily fallen in what would have been a horrendous way to die.

“He was up there for at least 45 minutes lying at the top on his phone. Eventually he made his own way down.”

After 45 minutes, the teenager made his way down the structure and was escorted away by security.

The boy’s friends claim he has now been allowed to return to the festival and remain for the rest of the weekend.
