Olympian and former University of Reading student Sam Townsend has become the next victim of an attack by Russian hackers as he becomes the next British athlete to have his medical records released.
The hacking group, who are known as Fancy Bears, recently hacked the World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) and have been releasing the files in batches, revealing health files of athletes from Great Britain and the USA.
The attack has been labelled by WADA as a “retaliation” to the revelations that Russia is operating a state-sponsored doping scheme, which led to large numbers of Russian athletes being banned from the Olympic Games and the nation being banned outright from the Paralympics.» >Read More »
