Reading Half Marathon Wants You!

To celebrate World Student Day, Sunday 15 October, the organisers of the 2018 Reading Half Marathon have created an exclusive student race entry offer—for every 8 runners registered, student sport clubs and societies will receive an additional 2 free entries. That’s 10 places for the price of 8—a saving of £70!

The Half Marathon will take place on Sunday 18 March, 2018, and it is one of the largest and fastest half marathons in the UK. The student presence at this race is always incredibly strong, along with a whole host of vibrant favourite fancy dress race outfits, too!

The 2018 route promises to be as impressive as ever, taking in the highlights of Reading town centre. A world renowned course, huge crowd support, musical entertainment, your beautiful University grounds, and a field of seasoned athletes inspire a momentous finish inside Madejski Stadium, the home of Reading FC. Nearly 15,000 registered runners took part in 2017, from first timers to Britain’s elite.

Judith Manson, Race Director, said, “We want to support university sports clubs and with that in mind, we have created this exclusive offer for all student sports clubs and societies. This is a great way to get the whole club involved, promote your university and society on the day and also support our local charities.”

“If you would like to be involved in the event but can’t run, we are always keen to hear from local clubs who can volunteer on the day. We’re renowned for our electric atmosphere, the huge local support lining the 13.1-mile route and the unique roaring atmosphere of the hero finish in the Madejski Stadium—now’s your chance to be a part of one of the best half marathons around!”
