‘Shooting Hoops’ – University of Reading Netball Club

We are one of Reading University’s biggest all-female sports clubs.

We currently have 3 BUCS teams that play competitively against other universities across the South-East as well as social training sessions for those who just fancy having a go at a new sport whilst they’re at University.

We also love a social and include loads of fun themes throughout the year such as 70’s night, Toybox, and Wizard of Oz!

2016/17 was a massive success for our netball club: our 1st team were winners of the South-East Conference Cup, for the first time ever and were also given the title of Team of the Year in this year’s Sports Awards!

All three teams excelled in their leagues and finished high up in their tables. Due to all the girls’ hard work on and off the court, Netball was given Club of the Year 2016/17.

These incredible achievements were a great end to the season and we want to continue our success into the next academic year.

This year we are hoping to improve even more and push for promotion within our teams as well as expand our club membership.

If you are interested in trying netball out or joining the team, we will have a stall at Freshers Fair so come along and see us for more information!

The first BUCS team trials will be on Sunday, September 24 from 3-5pm on the outside tennis courts.
