‘Let The Challenge Begin’ – Reading vs Hartpury, The Playoffs

Today sees our Men’s Rugby Union 1st team prepare for battle against Hartpury on the 27th September in the premiership playoff. After winning the league last year, the team now only have one game standing between them and promotion.

The match will be held at Newbury Rugby club. The Club 2 miles from Newbury train station making it easy for fans to travel to what will be a huge game.The club is hoping to organise a coach to transport the team and some spectators to go and support the Reading lads with the match itself kicking off for 2 o’clock.

As well as the away game the rugby union team will also be playing at home today against Warick University. This will be RURFC’s first home fixture of the new season so be sure to come along and support the Knights in their pre-season clash with Warick university! All welcome and this is a great opportunity for freshers to come along and see what is going on and meet a few of the club members.

As well as all of the rugby action the team’s sponsor Loddon Brewery will be giving away on behalf of the team 150 free pints as well as the notorious brand Red Bull supplying drinks and some great music to keep the fans well and truly entertained.
