RUSU Elections: Are you ready to get involved?

Reading University Student’s Union Elections for 2016 are now open! Nominations as candidates of Postgraduate Elections, Undergraduate Course Rep Elections and Student Voice Member Elections are currently being accepted. For those who are eager to get involved in RUSU can also nominate themselves!

Postgraduate Elections are only available for postgraduate students. There are several roles available: Postgraduate Course Reps, Postgraduate School Reps and Postgraduate Part-Time Officers. You will be representing postgraduate student views on academic issues on every course for the roles of Postgraduate School Reps and Postgraduate Part-Time Officers!

Undergraduates Election are available for all undergraduate students, even for first years! Running for Undergraduate Course Reps is a great way to meet new people and make a difference during uni life! Course Reps have to ensure the students’ voice is being heard by the University.

All current students are eligible to stand in the Student Voice Membership Elections. Student Voice members are required to attend five meetings throughout the academic year where you debate and vote on campaign and policy ideas.

Students that are interested in participating the elections will have to lo-gin to the RUSU website. Standing in an election is a great opportunity to gain more experience in leadership and teamwork. Do not hesitate to push yourself out of your comfort zone!
