RUDS transports Shakespeare into the 90s world of rave and Partying

RUDS is presenting ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, but with a twist.

Shakespeare’s well-loved comedy has been taken and planted in the 1990s, in the midst of rave culture and partying. In this production you’ll see the collision of the fairy world with the human world, as chaos ensues. As four lovers find themselves in the woods bordering Athens, they are immersed in the fairy world that lies within.

This modern interpretation is funny and witty, whilst being set in the 90s world of rave parties and fun. This performance will show the fairies representing the 90s era and, of course, lots of dancing to the classic hits of the decade.

Our exciting performance is guaranteed to have you laughing throughout, with the chaos and the classic element of any good comedy – a character that essentially messes everything up for everyone.

Puck, the servant to the Fairy King, is the catalyst that sparks all the commotion and confusion in the play. The infuriating yet hilarious circumstances will entice the audience and keep you on the edge of your seat, whether it be at the lovers and the misfortune that befalls them under the love potion, or at the Mechanicals – the fantastically funny troop of actors that are rehearsing a play – or perhaps the fairies who are in a constant rave and dance throughout the entire performance.

RUDS’ interpretation of this play is unique, modern and is a successful adaptation of a traditional play in an entirely new setting, giving the story a new and fun perspective – it’s definitely a must see performance!

Make sure you come and see the show – performed on the 20th, 21st and 23rd February 2017 in 3Sixty – get your tickets at www.ticketsource.co.uk/rudstickets before they sell out!
