Halloween Makeup Tutorial – Spider

Play up to most peoples’ biggest fears with this scary spider look! It looks complicated, but it’s not as tough as it looks!
You’ll need:
– your usual foundation
– white facepaint (unless you have pale eyebrows anyway)
– pale sparkly powder eye shadow
– black eyeshadow
– black facepaint
– a ruler
– a white eyeliner pencil
– a black eyeliner pencil
– a black eyeliner pen
– lots of small brushes
Instructions:
STEP 1: apply your usual foundation.
STEP 2: apply white face paint over your eyebrows, and then once dry, tap foundation over the top. This should make your eyebrows appear less obvious and paler. If you have pale or blonde eyebrows anyway, go ahead and skip this step.
STEP 3: line your eye with smudgy black eye shadow. Cover the entire lid similarly.

STEP 4: apply a thin layer of sparkly pale powder shadow between your eyelids and eyebrows, at the inner corners of your eyes, and very lightly dust your forehead and down the centre of your nose with it.
STEP 5: using black facepaint, draw: two small circles either side of your nose near your eyes, two large circles starting from the inner point of both of your eyebrows, two small ones just above, two extra large ones just above those, two small ones at the far ends of your eyebrows, and two slightly larger ones just above the last two.

STEP 6: using a ruler, a brush and black eyeshadow, draw very straight but very smudgy lines, about two inches long, coming out from your hairline into your face, from your eyebrows upwards. The two lines in the centre of your forehead should be slightly longer than the others.

STEP 7: using the black eyeliner pencil, draw rough and fairly random dashes all over the forehead area, following the shape of the face.

STEP 8: colour your lips black using black eyeliner pen. Exaggerate the points of the upper lip.
STEP 9: using black facepaint, draw two simple pincers either side of your mouth, coming in to the corners of your mouth. Draw “C” shapes at the end of each, to align with where the pincers come out.
STEP 10: draw two lines down the centre of your nose and three coming far down from your eyes, lightly and roughly in black eyeliner pencil.
STEP 11: as to before, draw random dashes over the cheeks, staying above the pincers, keeping with the vague circle shape of the face. Also, draw long lines coming down the neck from the jawline.

STEP 12: using the white eyeliner pencil, draw a curve along the bottom of all the larger black circles, and draw a line along the bottom edge of each pincer.
STEP 13: using white facepaint, draw white dots in the upper right corner of all of the black circles.
STEP 14: using a thin brush, get the pale sparkly eyeshadow and highlight the bottom edges of the curves that the pincers come out of to give them depth.
