An interview with Hugo Sheehan

Hugo Sheehan is the social secretary of the tennis club, and has agreed to share some of his experiences and opinions on the club, sport, and university life in general.

“It is a desire to stay healthy and push myself that has got me into tennis.

“It’s a sport that caters for all abilities and tennis is a sport that you’ll be able to play through nearly all your life.”

Specifically concerning Reading University Tennis Club, Hugo has detailed some exciting things to look forward to this year, as well as good memories and experiences so far,

“This year one of the main things to look forward to is the club’s tour to Brighton. Another exciting prospect is the (ongoing) very competitive BUCs league.

“My personal highlight with the club so far has to be my personal development in the game, the great friends I’ve made, and being voted on the committee.”

Aside from tennis, Hugo has a wide interest in other sports.

“I love football, because all it takes are two jumpers and a ball, and anyone from around the world can play it.

“Sailing’s great too, I love the water.

“My favourite sporting moment of all time has to be Andy Murray winning Wimbledon.”
