Reading prepares for the Careers and Placement Fair 2013


5 year high for graduate vacancies!

As employers prepare for the University of Reading’s Careers and Placement Fair 2013, the news that graduate vacancies at the major UK employers are at their highest since 2008 (High Fliers Research) sets a positive tone for this already popular event.


The Careers and Placement Fair 2013 is the must attend careers event for all years and all disciplines.

Taking place on 30th October, 11 am – 3 pm in the Palmer Building, the fair attracts a wide range of employers, all actively seeking to recruit Reading graduates to their placement and graduate schemes.

The Job-Shop

Lily asked Jon from the Job shop how he thought their first year had gone and whether they are making a big difference to students from Reading getting a job, either part time or full time!

Could you briefly outline what the JobShop does?

The Job Shop, run by the University’s Careers, Placement and Employment Centre, located in the Students’ Union, provides students with a wide range of part time and vacation jobs along with internship opportunities.
