Now that we have had our spout of good weather and those cold winter days are drawing in it’s time to get our skin repaired and prepared!
Restoring skin from any sun exposure is an essential part of your skin care routine and therefore you need to ensure your skin is constantly moisturised. A great moisturiser to look for is one containing hyaluronic acid. Although this sounds odd it is in fact a molecule which draws water into your skin, keeping it hydrated. Exfoliating is another imperative and should be done at least once a week! Remember to be gentle and lightly buff any dead skin away – rather than scrubbing. If you find scrubs too abrasive you could try an enzyme peel or astringent toner, one option for this is the Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel or the Pixi Glow Tonic. Although these products are not far off £20 they are very long lasting and great in helping to fight dull looking skin!
My favourite product and one I could not live without in the winter months is Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream. It has so many uses and is a very popular skin care product. It can be used for dry hands, chapped lips, sore eye lids, irritated skin and so much more! Again, a small amount goes a long way and it is therefore a perfect buy for us students!
Follow these tips and tricks and your skin will be a winter wonder to be envied by all!
