South Africa Win Rugby World Cup 2019

On Saturday 2nd November South Africa became third-time champions of the Rugby World Cup.

The game started rockily for England – a sub was called on to the pitch at not even 3 minutes in to the match. And then South Africa got their first penalty: Willie le Roux scored the first 3 points for the Sprinkbok team. England went on to get a penalty in the minutes following and even the scores; this was the tale of the first half of the match.» >

I have played Futsal on Tuesday nights for six months now and, whilst I am no more skilled and wield no better foot-eye co-ordination than when I started, I have at last found a sport I enjoy and a team I feel a part of. Khadijah Mellah: UK’s First Muslim Hijabi Jockey and Magnolia Cup Champion

On Thursday 1st of August, Khadijah Mellah became the first Muslim Hijab wearing woman to race on a British racecourse and win. The 18 year old from Peckham, South London, made history with her mount, Haverland, as they both crossed the finish line to victory at Glorious Goodwood’s charity race, the Magnolia Cup.

The daughter of a handyman and a black belt holder in karate, she developed an interest in horses and riding at an early age but the location of her home in South London made it difficult to do anything about her love of the sport and horses.» >
