Reading Festival Announces its Final Headliners

Reading festival announces its final headliners for 2016! Final headliners will be Biffy Clyro and Fall Out Boy.

They join Foals, Disclosure and the Red Hot Chili Peppers as headliners for the weekend. Reading will be the only UK festival to have 5 headliners in 3 days.

Other acts announced today include Chvrches, The Vaccines, A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott, Haim, Jack Garratt, The Wombats, Lower Than Atlantic, Asking Alexandria, Savages, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and Die Antwoord. The festival includes 24 UK exclusives.

Recently announced co-headliners Biffy Clyro and Fall Out Boy are unstoppable forces in the alternative rock world: Fall Out Boy was the sound track to a generation of teenagers – their return to Reading Festival 2013 triggered one of the biggest crowds in festival history; Biffy Clyro are Reading Festival originals with a new album in the works eagerly awaited by a whole nation of fans.

In the raft of new names confirmed to appear across the weekend includes synth-pop group Chvrches. They have two critically-acclaimed albums, Every Open Eye released last year which was a huge success. The Vaccines, one of the biggest names of recent times, will also be playing. In the last 5 years they have brought out 3 hugely successful LPs.

Also announced is the global force that is A$AP ROCKY. The king of hip hop has 2 studio albums and a number 1 in the US charts. Californian sisters HAIM will play at Reading weekend, as the anticipation grows for their unannounced second studio effort. Este, Danielle and Alana are predicted to transform Reading into their own sun-drenched paradise.

Jack Garratt, boy of the moment, will hit Reading 2016 with his untouchable electro-rock grooves. Garratt is fresh from claiming the BBC Sound Of 2016 and BRITS Critics Choice Award that marked him out as one to watch this year. The Wombats are excited for their return to Reading for 2016 saying ”We are beyond excited to get back to Reading & Leeds! If I’m correct this will be our fourth time around but without a doubt last year was our favourite. It doesn’t get much better than a R&L crowd!”

After a massive year for Lower Than Atlantis they will also be back at Reading, joined by friends Sleeping With Sirens, Welsh reggae-rock titans Skindred, punk legend Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, heavy American icons Five Finger Death Punch and State Champs. Finally, exclusively returning to the Reading & Leeds fields are South African rave phenomenon Die Antwoord lighting the stage across the weekend with one of their unpredictable and chaotic live shows.
