Lecture Capture to launch in September 2020

Words by Fifi Bangham, RUSU Education Officer.

Lecture capture is arriving in September 2020, after 4 years of planning.

Lecture capture will have a phased roll out over the next three years, starting with large teaching spaces, then rolling out across the majority of teaching spaces over the next two years.

It will be made up of a combination of video and audio recording, which will be uploaded to blackboard and made available to students shortly after the lectures.

The lecture capture project came about after the idea was submitted to ChangeIt! , and will be really beneficial for all students.

It will give the students the opportunity to revisit their lecture material, allowing them to solidify their learning and assisting with revision in the lead up to elections.
