Bubble Football is coming to campus!

Fancy life inside a bubble as you bounce and barge your way to victory? RUSU is bringing Bubble Football to our campus on Saturday 6 December.

Teams of five can book a 10 or 20-minute game on Saturday between 11:45am and 3:45pm.

With your upper body cocooned inside what they call a ‘zorb’, your balance will be put to the test in this alternative way of playing the beautiful game of football.

There are little to no rules, meaning you and your team-mates must do whatever you can to get the ball in the back of your opponents net.

The novel sport started out as a joke by Henrick Elvestad and Johan Gold, hosts of the Norwegian comedy sports show “Golden Goal.” They posted a video of them playing on YouTube and it has since spread all over Europe.

It looks rough but the game is completely safe, and is becoming a popular choice for birthday parties and stag do’s.

Whether you are male or female, anyone can play. There is no footballing ability required! So get your mates together and let off some steam in what is sure to be lots of fun.

How to book

A 10-minute game costs £20 per team (£4 per person), while a 20-minute game is £40 per team (£8 per person).

To book a session, go down to Student Activities in RUSU and choose a time slot. Alternatively, you can book online by emailing Charlie Holman, your Student Engagement Officer, at studentengagement@rusu.co.uk for a time slot.
